The Long Island Jewish community is buzzing with excitement as we approach the High Holidays. The annual Temple Israel of Long Beach's Rosh Hashanah service will take place on September 15th, featuring a special guest speaker from Jerusalem. Additionally, the Long Island Jewish Museum is hosting an exhibit on the history of Sephardic Jewry, which has been extended until October due to popular demand.
The community is also coming together to support local families in need through the annual Food Drive and Toy Collection. Donations can be dropped off at participating synagogues and businesses throughout the island. Let's come together to make a difference!
We are thrilled to announce that local resident and entrepreneur, David Greenberg, has been recognized for his outstanding contributions to the Jewish community. His dedication to supporting young families and promoting interfaith dialogue is truly inspiring.
The Long Island Jewish Community Center's annual gala will take place on October 10th, honoring the achievements of several remarkable individuals in our community. Tickets are now available online or at the center's front desk.
